 corporate identity

/ branding, brand design, logo design, corporate identity, photoshop

For this project we had to create an identity and brand for a restaurant, using omni-channel marketing to present a range of mock-ups as if we were presenting this to a prospective client.

My idea was for a gourmet Japanese fine-dining restaurant, based around simplicity, clean lines, minimalism, and the art of Kintsugi

As found on their website:

"The Japanese art of kintsugi teaches that broken objects are not something to hide, but to display with pride.
It’s an alternative to throwing broken items away, highlighting and enhancing the breaks and cracks to add value to the broken object. We want to imbue our service with a similar attitude.

The word kintsugi (金継ぎ) literally translates to golden (“kin”) repair (“tsugi”), which is how we at our restaurant strive to live alongside the environment: to not waste anything, to repurpose and re-use as much as we can, and to source our ingredients from producers that
don’t leave the Earth damaged or broken.

Join us for a meal that whole-heartedly embraces Japanese tradition,  from the flavour all the way to how we treat the world around us, and that embraces the “cracks” to show that even the old and the broken can be beautiful.

Celebrating food doesn’t have to come at the expense of the world we inhabit.
